Love you guys

ID - not so much lately. I just can't seem to find the time to sit my ass down and paint. Doesn't mean I've given up, just taking a break. How's everyone's guitar? I was this close to buying a guitar last weekend. I had to stop myself since I am saving money for an upcoming vacation, but if it weren't for that, I'd have been all over it.

My guitar is awesome! I can now fully say that I am a guitar player without feeling uncomfortable with saying so. I have also been taking voice lessons, not to help with my singing but to help me project and grow some confidence about singing in front of others. My teacher is hoping that I can hit up an open mic night soon.
Where's the vacation, if you don't mind me asking?

I am going to San Diego. Leaving on Tuesday. Can't wait to lay around on the beach and do nothing at all. I am going w/the boyfriend and his family, which should be interesting. They'e all really nice, and I'm sure we'll have a ton of fun. Work's been a bit stressful lately (and likely to get much more stressfull thanks to Gustav, Hanna, Ike and Josephine) and I can't wait to just relax for a week.

Lucky. I love San Diego. It is my favorite vacation spot, to be sure.
I don't know if you like seafood at all but if you do, try to make it to Point Loma Seafood and get the shrimp sandwhich. It is to die for. Fresh shrimp from the morning catch on fresh baked sour dough. Mmm...
Also, the trick to ordering is to call ahead and then when you get in there, just catch the first persons eye and yell your name and that it's pick up. There are no lines and there is no number system there. It's first awknowledged, first served.
Hope you have fun. Also, if you do some shopping (and I have a feeling you might), there's this little nook of a shop in Old Town that has the best little oil can purses. Very cute and affordable. It's called "Endless Summer", I think.

Well, Unfortunately, WD, I didn't make it to any of the places you suggested, but I still had an amazing time.
Went to Hollywood while I was in Cali and got engaged at the Rainbow. It was absolutely amazing and perfect and I share more about it when I get a chance.

That is fucking amazing! That really does sound absolutely perfectly suited to you, Lindsey.
Congratulations to Kata and her man on getting engaged!
Love to take you out for a celebratory drink, Miss Soon to be Mrs.

oh... my guitar has slowed down a bit. But I'm still taking lessons, and I'm on Jazz chords now. OUCH, they are painful. And I'm trying to work up the beginning of "Since I've Been Lovin' You", LZ version.
How about MZD? How's life for you?

Wow Kata, that's great! Nice vacation I need to sit my ass down and paint too. ID- I've been a little bitter lately. Not sure what it is or if it's cult related or not. Things in my life are great. I will be traveling a lot this fall, got a raise, etc. Thanks for asking.
