I'd pick painlessly in my sleep, but different strokes for different folks. Hahaha, that made me laugh. I completely agree Sonia, with the idea that the more we learn about other cults out there, the less we feel like the rubes or freaks of society for falling victim to one. The number one thing I hear after I let someone in on this is: "Really? You seem smarter than that." FUCK YOU! We're all smart(with the glaring exception of a few) and that's why we got sucked in. Smart kids don't always fit into the traditional mold of "popular". Smart people sometimes have emotional or mental health issues, hence the self medication. The reasons for smart people to end up at a cults doorstep are endless. It feels good to belong to a group. It feels good when someone says they can understand your pain. It feels good to be loved and wanted by your peers. People like bob, Jim Jones, LRH, David Koresh, Charles Manson, etc know this. People call them charasmatic, I say they're more akin to jackals. I also agree with your assesment of why they wait till the "upper levels" to reveal their magical time/space/mind control. Think about it. Hearing I love you everyday for the first thrity days was hard enough and made me more than wary at the start. If some motherfucker had walked up to me spouting off about ju-ju beams and past lives, I would've been outta there pronto.
