I "sort of" saw Good Luck Chuck the other day. It sucked. I got there late and missed the end but what I did see wasn't that great.
I really want to see Across the Universe. I'm not sure if it's playing in any theatres here yet. For a while it was only playing in NY and LA. Its the movie w/the Beatles music.

I saw "Shoot 'Em Up" recently. It was awesome, lots of fun. Clive Owen was beautiful as always.
I also saw "3:10 to Yuma". It was much better than I thought it would be. Christian Bale was so hot in his goatee.
Planning to go see "Thirty Days of Night" soon. I can't wait. It looks like it will be fun. I hope it turns out well.

30 Days of Night was definitely not high art, but it was fun. Not terribly bad, not fantastic either. There were a couple of parts that were cheesy. But overall, it was exciting and suspenseful enough to be worth seeing, IMHO.

I just reviewed 30 Days of Night. It was cool because it was my first new release review but it sucked too because I got home that night at 3am and had to toss off my review off the top of my head. I wish I'd had more time to play with it. 30 DON began as a comic book and when it came out, it WAS high art. The illustrator (Ben Templesmith), made the gore almost beautiful. I thought the make up team did a great job in preserving those drawings. The vampires were as close to the comics as they could physically get and the effect on the big screen was amazing. Anyway, enough nerd rambling. I'm glad some people got out to see it. I'm going again this Saturday. ;D
