Yay Kata for doing the WSS!
1. Who killed Tupac?
A vast right-wing conspiracy.
2. Which do you prefer east or west coast?
I've never been to the east coast. I like the west coast. (I have no idea how it might relate to rap)
3. Hot or not: gangsta rap?
NOT
4. Do you consider rap to be music?
Sort of. It can be extremely repetitive, posturing BS, but it's music to someone. Some of can be fun to listen to (just my opinion), but for the most part I get so sick of seeing losers pretending to be big bad scary guys or ... whatever.
5. Favorite rap/hip hop artist past or present?
Closest I can come is Rage Against the Machine.

1. Who killed Tupac?
I think it was a plot by Suge Knight of death row records to kill Tupac before he left the label so Suge could continue to make $ on Tupac's royalties. I also think it was very convenient time for him to do it so the suspision was on the east/west coast rap feud and Biggie and Puffy. Seriously, I don't know, but it sounds good, right?
2. Which do you prefer east or west coast?
I like the west coast better, but then again I haven't really spent a lot of time on the east coast. As far as rap goes, I think I'll go with the west coast rap, I like it a little better.
3. Hot or not: gangsta rap?
In general, not so much but there are some good songs.
4. Do you consider rap to be music?
Yeah, I think so.
5. Favorite rap/hip hop artist past or present?
Well, I've always liked the beastie boys. As far as some of the new stuff goes, I like Outkast, I like some of Jay-Z's stuff. I like Eminem...some 50 cent a little Snoop & Dre. Now, when I say I like some of it, that doesn't mean I have any CD's, but I like some of the songs.

Sorry ID, the Chemical Brothers are not rap. I love them too, though. 1. Who killed Tupac? Suge Knight definitely had a hand in it.2. Which do you prefer east or west coast? California...knows how to party. In the city...of L.A. Sorry I'll stop.3. Hot or not: gangsta rap? Hot, cause damn it feels good good to be one. It also appeals to my inner "bad ass". Like I'm hard rollin' through the 'burbs of Gilbert bumpin' my Eazy-E. 4. Do you consider rap to be music? Sure. It's the CNN of the ghetto.5. Favorite rap/hip hop artist past or present? See above quote.

1. Who killed Tupac?
It came from some stupid bullshit is all I know.
2. Which do you prefer east or west coast?
West Coast from back in the day.
3. Hot or not: gangsta rap?
Yeh- but I like the political aspect of it better.
4. Do you consider rap to be music?
Absolutely
5. Favorite rap/hip hop artist past or present?
Hard to say. Even tho I loved old school west coast "gfunk," I am now impressed with the current political statements of Dead Prez. Like WD said- it's the CNN (maybe the Radio Pacifica?) of the ghetto.

Wow. I did not expect to see this one.
1. Who killed Tupac?
Suge Night set it up with some of his LAPD boys
2. Which do you prefer east or west coast?
I am a big fan of the East but also love the North West Coast stuff out of the Bay Area. For a while I really got into the FarEast Coast thing with alot of Japanese Hip Hop. I couldn't understand a word of what they were saying so the vocals were more like another instrument. Great beats though - far superior to anything coming out of the US
3. Hot or not: gangsta rap?
I can only take so much death. Luke warm
4. Do you consider rap to be music?
Of Course. Since the beginning it has influenced the entire musical world. You can hear its infuence in every type of music from rock to even classical. There is a radio show on sunday afternoons that I listen to that plays contemperary composers and about have of the stuff has that boom bap beat.
5. Favorite rap/hip hop artist past or present?
Beastie Boys by far my favorite past and present. De La Soul coming in second Digable Planets third
