LAS VEGAS - The woman who claimed she found a finger in her bowl of Wendy's chili last month has been arrested, the latest twist in a bizarre case about how the 1½-inch finger tip ended up in a bowl of fast food
Discuss.
The part that really bothers me is that they still don't know where the finger came from. SOMEONE HAS TO BE MISSING THAT FINGER!!!

Soylent Green Chili is people!!!!!!!
Seriously though, this lady has a history of suing corporations due to something bad happening to her at their establishments. That's why Wendys didn't just settle and opened their own investigation. Over the past few years she's sued El Pollo Loco, General Motors and one other place that I can't recall. It's because of people like her and that dumbass who sued over coffee being too hot(HELLO McFLY!)that people with legitimate claims aren't taken seriously and our judicial system gets tied up by people whining about getting sand in their vaginas or some such nonsense.
And oh yeah, where the fuck DID the finger come from? It's bugging me too. Maybe she actually mudered someone like a prostitute(they said the nail was well manicured)who noone will go looking for just to cut off her fingertip and put in her food to file another money making lawsuit. Or so says my scandalous, dramatic mind.

You wanna hear a really bizarre twist to this, I was reading this a few days ago... --------------------------------------------------------------------- Woman who lost finger in leopard attack claims link to fast-food chili By The Associated Press (4/14/05 - LAS VEGAS, NV) — A woman who lost part of her finger in a leopard attack believes it was her body part that allegedly showed up a month later in a bowl of fast-food chili in California. A lawyer for Sandy Allman, 59, said she wants to participate in any DNA testing of the finger, which she said she last saw packed in ice in a Las Vegas emergency room. Doctors told her it could not be reattached, and she does not know what happened to it after that, lawyer Philip Sheldon said. The hospital said it cannot account for the 3/4-inch fingertip, which Allman lost Feb. 23 in the attack at an exotic animal compound at her home in rural Pahrump, about 60 miles west of Las Vegas.
Las Vegas resident Anna Ayala claimed she found a 11/2-inch fingertip on March 22 while eating at a Wendy's in San Jose, Calif.
The two women have "absolutely no connection," Sheldon said.
He said Allman realizes her lost fingertip is only half as long as the one that Ayala claims to have found.
San Jose police said DNA tests would be taken to determine the finger's rightful owner.
Ayala, 39, was not considered a suspect, San Jose police spokeswoman Gina Tepoorten said.
Ayala was visiting relatives in San Jose on Wednesday and could not be reached for comment. Her son, Guadalupe Reyes, 18, told The Associated Press that Ayala doesn't know Allman.
Ayala had filed a claim with the Wendy's franchise owner over her alleged discovery, but her attorney Jeffrey Janoff said Wednesday that she had decided not to pursue a lawsuit because the scrutiny by police and reporters had been "very difficult for her emotionally."
Court records show Ayala has a history of making claims against corporations, including a former employer, General Motors and a fast-food restaurant.
Wendy's maintains the finger did not enter the food in its ingredients. It has offered a $50,000 reward in the case and was keeping open a hot line for tips, spokesman Denny Lynch said.
Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center confirmed Allman's treatment after the leopard attack, but said there was no record of the fingertip in the Pathology Department, where it normally would have been taken.
There was also no record of Ayala as a patient or employee, spokeswoman Glenda McCartney said.

It's because of people like her and that dumbass who sued over coffee being too hot(HELLO McFLY!)that people with legitimate claims aren't taken seriously and our judicial system gets tied up by people whining about getting sand in their vaginas or some such nonsense. First I have to say LOL!!! I actually heard that she cut the finger off of her already dead aunt, at her funeral. She saw her dead aunt as a way of getting paid. Some people will do damn near anything for money, look at the crazy shit they do on fear factor, and that's only for a one in six chance of winning 50,000. My question is, wouldn't the workers at Wendy's notice if they were missing a finger??? Couldn't they just do a check of all the employee's, see all the fingers intact and be done with it?

Do they really think free frostys will make us forget their MIGHT be a finger in the chili? ;D The local woman who says she found a finger in a bowl of Wendy's chili sits in jail today. Anna Ayala was taken into custody on a warrant issued in San Jose, California. She is being held at the Clark County Detention Center, accused of grand larceny. News 3's Lisa Hidalgo reports police now say the fast food giant is the real victim in this case. Police arrested Ayala at her home near Maryland Parkway and Serene last night. Anna Ayala is facing two charges, one for an unlawful home purchase transaction, and the other charge has to do with Wendy's. Police say because of Ayala's claims, Wendy's franchises have lost millions. The allegations have not only hurt Wendy's restaurants in the Bay area, but here in Las Vegas as well. Over the past month, people have been avoiding the chili and unfortunately they've also been avoiding the entire menu. It's been a rough month, but they expect after the arrest of Ayala, lines at the counter and the drive through will pick up. "Hi, may I take your order?" "I ordered a double, classic double. I ordered my mother a classic single." No chili today for DJ Johnson, but he says that's only because it's warm outside. Even after seeing images plastered on TV, he's still a huge fan of Wendy's. "From the beginning it kind of shocked me, but when she dropped the charges it made me suspicious. You don't eat a human body and then drop the charges." "Food safety is very important to us. It's been very confusing to our customers." Wendy's of Las Vegas owns all 33 of the local fast food restaurants. "It's really had a devastating effect on us. We've lost about 25 percent of our sales." Which in turn has hurt the employees. While no one has been let go, they've had to scale back hours and in turn, pay. "The connotations are negative, anytime you have a picture of a finger and the Wendy's logo up there." A small cup of Wendy's chili still has six grams of fat, 220 calories, and 17 grams of protein, and after a one month investigation, you should feel even safer eating it. "Same ingredients, same quality, same care, same food safety practices. We're hopeful that our guests will come back and that maybe there will be some clarity and that they know that Wendy's serves quality products." This weekend, they are giving you a very good reason to come on back and give Wendy's a try. This Saturday and Sunday, all local Wendy's will be giving away free junior size Frostys. Wendy's says the chili has been a core product for years but expects it may take some time before people start ordering it again.

Seriously, I eat at Wendy's every Monday. And when this whole thing started I did avoid the chili. Not that I was a big Wendy's chili consumer to start with--but they put it in the Taco Salad. Really, GH? EVERY Monday?Really, really. My Munchkin has a standing appt and the way the time/drive works out its so much easier just to eat there. Spring Mix salad, baby. It's callin' my name

Ok, let me just say this: I used to work at Wendy's and I have ALWAYS avoided the chili.
I will not get into details for those of you who believe ignorance is bliss, but I will eat the rest of the food there if that tells you anything.
