I'm noticing something happening out in the public, and it's bothering me.
One. Customer service sucks. When I go shopping -anywhere- I barely get a hello, and when I ask for help it's usually a waste of time. I hate standing at the check out, and these clerks are chatting with their friends. Either fellow employees, or just ppl hanging out with them while they're on the clock.
Two. Customers Suck. I don't know which came first, or who I would blame. But damn it, I'm tired of dealing with folks who think they can just throw a huge fit about thing to get there way. And what really pisses me off is it usually works!
I work in the service industry myself, and I'm damn tired of it. Can you tell? My face hurts from the dumb ass perma-grin I have to keep.
Am I the only one noticing this?

Oh man, I am just too damn tired to launch into my standard diatribe on this subject. I'll be fresh as a pissed off daisy tomorrow though, and I'll happily echo your sentiments.

We're consumers. We are by-products of a lifestyle obsession. Murder, crime, poverty, these things don't concern me. What concerns me are celebrity magazines, television with 500 channels, some guy's name on my underwear. Rogaine, Viagra, Olestra.

First off...WALMART FUCKING BLOWS!
The customers SUCK! What I mean by that is they are just fucking RUDE! It's a MAD house there and everyone forgot to be cool to other people! I don't think it's worth the few bucks you save for the amount of assholes you have to put up with.

I too deal with customer service in my business. THATS a BIG deal for the company. JUST BE COOL to all (almost all) and make them happy. OUR name and service depends on it! I think it starts with the top of the company (employee training etc.) and goes down the chain. When I look at the employee who treats me or others like shit I think to myself, the manager or owner must be a DICK or does not give a shit.

When I do get treated like shit (I am a smart ass anyways and being 6' 220 lbs might help) I say something and then joke with them. It seems to work most of the time. Or if I think someone is having a bad day and they might be a dick. I just treat them super cool and make them smile. If they don't smile I say something smart ass OR say "having one of those days?" (gets them everytime).





AND if that doesn't work then FUCK EM!
