It's been a home improvement weekend for me, too. I installed a new light fixture in my bathroom and also in my dining room. Then today I spent the day cleaning. I'm going to dinner tonight with some friends I used to work with, so that should be fun.
Other than that, just chillin'. All this talk about books last week gave me some inspiration and I went to the bookstore and got some new books, so I'll probably start on those.

Correction/Update: I went to the crazy church people bbq. I drank anyway. Damn peer pressure. Tolerance was way down. Too many margaritas and fireworks. I hope the burn marks come off my car, and hope the burn on my hand heals fast. Lots of people. Hot tub. Hot chicks. Thank Christ for overnight babysitters because we stayed the night since I obviously was in no shape to think about driving. I swear the chruch people make Ang and I's parties look lame.
Blew off trying to catch up at work today and went to the pride parade instead. My friend, TheMunchkin, my hangover and I sat in the hot sun for a few hours (its the longest parade ever!). It was very family friendly--especially the nice groups of guys on either side of us who gave TheMunchkin every bead necklace they caught! When we left TheMunchkin had over 30 things of beads hanging around her neck! She had a blast.
I need a nap.

Sounds like you had a fun weekend GH.  I didn't do much, went to the playground in our apartment complex with the little one, and then sat in the grass and picked flowers. I was supposed to take cans back this weekend, but it rained today, so I put it off again. Our coat closet is full, and I've got two bags in the laundry room, so I should really get that done sometime this week. Other than that, just trying to get everything together for our trip this week. I've got lots of important decisions to make, such as what toys will entertain Kaitlyn for an entire week, LOL. |

I worked my @ss off all Saturday fixing my brakes (with my Dad's help, of course). All 4 wheels' brakes were bad, and I had to replace all the pads and 2 rotors. I may have to replace at least 1 caliper. Anyway, it was an unending hell because I had to keep going back to Autozone, but my car is sooooo much better now, and I saved a few hundred bucks.
Also, I found out on Saturday that a good friend had come in from out of town the night before. I ended up going to a little get together and learned how to play "Risk", reconnected with a couple of old friends, made some new ones, and went to IHOP around dawn. I miss that stuff.
Oh yeah, and I dyed my hair yesterday (Sat). it was supposed to be "medium red brown". It turned extremely dark at the ends, like almost black. But, I kinda like it anyway. I just wish it would even out a little.
